Ok, so today I walked my youngest daughter down to the bus stop, because I needed to confront the kids that keep threatening to beat her up. I wasn't planning to get upset, I wasn't planning to do anything in particular, I guess I just didn't know what I'd do or say, all I knew inside my head was I was going to have a talk with them.
So after spending the morning talking to my daughter, and realizing how afraid she was to go out to the bus, I just thought she really didn't need this anymore from these kids who are much older than her. So... I go walking up to the group of kids and I ask "Who's Tracena, and who's Amanda?" The kids in the group all point out who Amanda is, and who Tracena is. So now I know, and I begin to tell them both how I know they're threatening my daughter and using bad language, how I know they're pushing her around and such and all goes well. I mostly spoke to the "Amanda" girl, because she's 12, and is the one who was mostly cursing and pushing Ashley around. I stood out there with the group of kids for half an hour, and watched as they got on the bus. I made sure to tell them that if I have to come out there every single day to make sure that they leave Ashley alone that I would, and that if I hear one more time of them threatening her that I will call the cops and then I will go have a talk with both of their parents, because the schools have already spoken to the kids and the parents, if they know or if they do not know, or care, I will be sure to be on them just as much as I can until they realize I'm not going to go away. I'll be like a solicitor, that calls you all the time pushing you to buy thier damn magazines. I'll be like that but at their doors until they put a stop to their kids being big meanies. I'm sorry, but a 12 yr old that is 5 foot 6 has no business picking on a little 9 yr old who's shorter than most kindergardeners. Anyhow... I'm very lucky my daughter is who she is. I was able to say to the other kids, that you know, maybe we are poor right now, but my daughter has plans when she grows up, she wants to be a teacher when she grows up, she doesn't need to be picked on like this for nothing all the time. I told the one girl, I said if you want to grow up to be like the ladies on the Jerry Springer show with bad mouths that pick on people, then so be it, but my daughter is going to grow up to be a teacher, and the other kid that was there raised her hand and said "I love the Jerry Springer show! That's my favorite show!" I laughed.. that was kind of funny. I sure hope these two kids that keep picking on my daughter will stop. God, I don't want to have to be walking to the bus every day! Oh well.. life of a mom. Whatever Whatever. :)
